Improving accounts payable processes

I systematically analysed legacy AP processes and system limitations in financial services, connecting the findings with future-state requirements and a P2P replacement proposal.

The challenge

In financial services, an existing legacy system and its AP processes needed systematic analysis to establish what should change and whether a replacement was needed.

My contribution

In financial services, I systematically analysed the legacy system and its AP processes. As the Finance Systems SME, I reviewed workflows, approvals and integration constraints, connected the findings with future-state requirements, and proposed a procure-to-pay (P2P) replacement.

The outcome

In financial services, the analysis informed the P2P replacement proposal, future-state requirements and the wider business case, including the related approval-rule simplification work.
